The best months for sunny weather are from April to October and the Winter months can be surprisingly warm and sunny too. The local beach with a beach bar in the summer is well-maintained and a favorite with fishermen. Other activities in the area include tapas routes, boat trips, hiking, cycling, horse riding, diving, other water sports, golf etc. The renowned Desert Springs Golf Resort is only a few minutes from Palomares and Granada with its Alhambra Palace and Sierra Nevada ski slopes is about a two and a half hour drive away..
